I REALLY DON'T LIKE APPLES, AND NEVER HAVE, SO IMAGINE HAVING PURCHASED A HOME WITH A BIG OLD APPLE TREE RIGHT IN THE FRONT YARD. AND WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT, IT WAS FULL OF APPLES BUT NOT JUST ANY ORDINARY APPLES BUT BIG RED BEAUTIFUL APPLES. MY HUSBAND TOLD ME IF YOU WANT ME TO I'LL CUT IT DOWN FOR YOU, BUT BEFORE YOU MAKE THAT DECISION WEIGH THE GOOD WITH THE BAD. IF YOU CAN FIND THE GREATER NEGATIVE THEN IT WILL BE CUT DOWN, HOWEVER, IF THE GREATER IS POSITIVE THEN IT STAYS AND YOU WILL HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO MAKE IT A BLESSING.
SO AS I WEIGHED THE GOOD FROM THE BAD, I REALLY SAW MORE GOOD TO THE TREE. IT GAVE A LOVELY SHADE AND IT HAD THE MOST PLEASANT AROMA. THEN THE THOUGHT CAME TO ME, YOU ARE LOOKING AT IT'S ORINGINAL FORM,START LOOKING AT IT'S TRANSFORMATION. TRANSFORMATION?
THE IDEA HIT ME, TRANSFORM THE APLLE INTO APPLESAUCE, APPLE PIE, APPLE JELLY, APPLE BUTTER, APPLE TURNOVER,ETC.
SO I BEGAN TO MAKE A PROFIT FROM THE VERY THING I DID NOT LIKE, BUT NOT A MONETARY PROFIT: YOU SEE I BEGAN TO BLESS THE NEIGHBORHOOD I LIVED IN AND THE SHELTER, AND THE CHILDREN'S HOME. THE PROFIT I MADE WAS THE JOY I RECEIVED IN GIVING TO OTHERS.
NOW WHEN I DON'T LIKE SOMETHING INSTEAD OF LETTING IT FRUSTRATE ME AND BECOME A PROBLEM TO ME, I BEGIN TO LOOK FOR A TRANSFORMATION TURNING A PROBLEM INTO A POSIIVE SOLUTION.

Great story, it might even start a new saying: "When life gives you apples, make applesauce."

I like how you figured this out. It's true. Sometimes we have to search hard to find the positive but when we do, it helps us keep going.
