Oddly enough My grandfather send me an advert in the mail that he had clipped out from a magazine he read! He thought that the concept of thoughtful, positive short films was right up my alley so he sent it my way!

I think there are some powerful videos on here and I try to post and put my film school knowledge to good use. Maybe it's just because I'm a film student, but I think the one mistake many of the films on here make is having overly sentimental music and on the nose emotional cues.

I believe in the power of truth, dogma 95, cinema verite, whatever you want to call it. I don't think films need to rely on persuasion to get us to feel how films have made us traditionally feel for the past century. Instead let the subtleties of the piece tell the story and you fill in your own emotional value from personal experience and desire to feel.

The reason spirit clips is cool is because it's heart is in the right place. Films for the common man at very reasonable cost. I know Spiritclips is new but I believe its growth will come from continued user response and posting of new vids that promote the concept of sharing.
