Why do you charge for SpiritClips.com? How much does it cost?
We charge what we believe is a reasonable monthly, six-month, or annual membership fee to watch our films and send filmcards. These funds support the production of new SpiritClips films, which are created with the same care and commitment to quality as feature films. These films are only available to our Premium Members. They can't be found anywhere else. Since we're an ad-free environment, the funds from our Premium Members support us. We hope that people will value this truly unique service.

We use a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which is the industry standard for secure e-commerce transactions. Why can't I view films on the SpiritClips website?
The SpiritClips website plays videos in Flash format and requires Flash Player 9 or higher. If you do not have the Flash Player, you can download the latest version by clicking here.
Do you have any system requirements?
SpiritClips.com is designed to be accessed on a broadband connection with a modern Web browser like Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer 6 or later. We also recommend using Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.3 or better.
Can I post SpiritClips films on my site?
No. SpiritClips films are copyrighted and only available for viewing on our website. In the future, SpiritClips may enable other websites to license its content. To share a SpiritClips film with others, please visit our FilmCards section.
What if I experience a slight hesitation when playing films?
SpiritClips films are presented using the latest Internet video technology for optimal viewing. Occasionally, due to Internet traffic or variances in your connection speed, there may be slight hesitations when buffering or streaming video files. If you experience hesitations, we recommend that you close any other open windows or applications other than your Internet browser and check to see if anyone else is sharing your bandwidth.
How often will you be adding new films to the site?
A SpiritClips film is created with the same craftsmanship and commitment to quality as a theatrical movie release, requiring similar writing, casting, production, equipment, and editing as a feature film, but on a smaller scale. In other words, these films take time and care to produce. We plan to debut one film each month on the SpiritClips website. You can help us find new material by submitting your stories to be considered for a SpiritClips film.
What is a SpiritClips FilmCard?
Much better than an ecard, a SpiritClips filmcard is an amazing, customizable video experience that arrives right in the viewer's email inbox. With one click, your recipient opens a beautiful card with your personalized message.
The filmcard then plays the SpiritClips film that you have selected with film-quality sound and video right in your recipient's browser. Filmcards are designed to simulate the intimate experience of opening a traditional printed card. You can find filmcards for any occasion with a selection of over 100 distinctive covers to choose from.
Filmcards play immediately upon opening. Because they're streamed from our site, there's no time wasted waiting for a download. Filmcards are truly amazing. You have to watch them to understand their impact. Go ahead and try it today.
How many FilmCards can I send?
Free members can send one free FilmCard to try us out. Premium members can send as many FilmCards as they like. To view the FilmCards you have sent, please log in and visit your "My Sent FilmCards" page accessible from your "My Account" page.
How will I know that my FilmCard has been sent?
FilmCards are sent immediately, just like regular emails. Alternatively, you can create a filmcard now and schedule it to be sent automatically at a future date. After you create your FilmCard, you will receive an email either confirming that it was sent or that it will be sent on the date you specified.
What if I am having trouble sending a FilmCard?
Please follow the instructions below to send a FilmCard:
1. If you are a Free or Premium member, please log in. If you are not yet a member, please join as a Premium member to send filmcards, or sign up to try sending one free.
2. Go to the FilmCards section and browse by occasion, theme, or genre. You can also send a FilmCard "Just Because".
3. Choose the film you wish to send as a FilmCard.
4. Start personalizing your FilmCard by writing a note to your recipient, or by selecting one of our prewritten messages. Then click "next step."
5. Enter your recipients' email addresses, separating each address with a comma. You can also import your contacts from your email program.
6. If you would like to schedule a future delivery date for your filmcard, use the month, day, and year drop-down menus under "Schedule Deliery for Later." You can select a send date between now and 12/31/2014.
7. Upload a photo if you wish. The photo will appear in the filmcard above your message. The photo must be a jpeg, and can be up to 5MB in size.
8. Select a cover. You can use the arrows to scroll through the covers. Use the dropdown menu to switch to a different occasion and see more covers.
9. Preview the filmcard, then click "Send." It's as easy as that!
10. If you are still experiencing difficulty, please use the Contact Us form, choose the "Technical Support" option, and describe your problem.
What if my recipient did not receive the filmcard I sent him/her?
Some companies and organizations have firewalls that block emails (and our filmcards) that come from new businesses, even businesses as friendly and positive as SpiritClips. While we're consistently working to make other organizations familiar with our email address, some still aren't.
If you're sending your filmcard to a business or organization that might have such a firewall, we've created an alternative system that allows you to send a link to the filmcard from your own email account.
You may also suggest to your recipients that they check their spam or junk mail folder to see if the filmcard ended up there. Encourage your recipients to add spiritclips.com to their whitelist or address book so that future filmcards will get through.
We will notify you by email when your filmcard has been opened. If your filmcard has not been opened after 7 days, we will send you a link to the filmcard that you can then forward to your recipient from your email account.
As SpiritClips grows, more companies will make sure that filmcards from SpiritClips are accepted by their system. In the meantime, we appreciate your business. Thank you very much for sending SpiritClips.
What if a recipient is having trouble viewing my FilmCard?
The person viewing your FilmCard must have the same Flash Player and system requirements that you are required to have when viewing films on the SpiritClips website. Please refer to Films in this Help section for more information.
Can anyone read, submit, and discuss stories on SpiritClips.com?
Nonmembers can read SpiritClips stories, but only Free and Premium members can submit and discuss stories on SpiritClips.com.
What kinds of stories should I submit?
SpiritClips.com focuses on inspirational and motivational films and stories, and we ask that your stories please be consistent with these themes. To learn more, please visit our Stories section, where you'll find helpful suggestions and guidelines for submission.

Do you really use member-submitted stories for SpiritClips films?
Yes, we really do! In fact, that's how we hope to get most of the story ideas for our films. Of course, not every story, no matter how good or popular it is, translates into a compelling and moving screenplay. But based on user feedback and the expertise of our Academy Award-winning production team, we will select member stories as the basis for future SpiritClips films. If your story is chosen, we will contact you using the email address you used during registration.
Do I have to do anything special for my story to be considered for a SpiritClips film?
No. Every story that is submitted on the SpiritClips website will be reviewed by our staff to determine if it is suitable for a SpiritClips film. To learn more about what makes a good story for a SpiritClips film, please visit our Stories section.
What if my story is chosen for a SpiritClips film?
If your story is chosen, you will be notified via email. If we develop your story into a SpiritClips film, you will receive a credit on the film.
How do I contact another SpiritClips member?
If you'd like to comment or reply to a member's story or film comment, we encourage you to do so in the Film or Story Discussion area. If you'd like to make a personal connection with another member--to tell them, for example, when your book club meets--you can send that member a message from a link on his or her Member Profile page.
What if I am having difficulty logging in?
Most login problems arise when users forget their Member Name or password, or change their email address and forget to update this information in our records. Go to the login form, click "Forgot Your Member Name or Password," and enter the email address associated with your account. We will then send you a reminder email with your Member Name and password. If you get an error message after requesting a password reminder and/or you do not receive the reminder email, this may indicate that we do not have an account with your email address on file. If your email address has changed, be sure to log in with your old address. If you are still having difficulty logging in, please use the Contact Us form and select "Customer Support."
Unfortunately, once you create your account, your Member Name cannot be changed, although you can edit how your name appears on your Member Profile page.
Can I change my email and password?
Yes. You will need to log in and go to your Member Profile page. There, you'll find a link to edit your account settings.
How do I change my profile image?
You can upload and change your profile image by clicking the "Edit Profile" link on your Member Profile page. Once there, click "Change Photo" and then "Browse" to select an image from your computer to upload, and "Save" when finished. Please note that it may take a few minutes for changes to your profile to appear on the site.
How do I change my profile video?
To post or change your profile video, simply copy and paste the "EMBED CODE" from a video sharing site, like YouTube, into the text field and click "Save."
What is the best format to use when uploading my Member Profile video?
Currently, videos embeded from YouTube are most compatible with our site.
Can I block others from seeing my Member Profile?
Yes. In the "Preferences" section of your account, you can set your profile to private so that other members will not see it. However, we encourage you to allow members to view your profile, as this allows you to make the most of your membership by fostering greater community interaction.
Why are you asking for my name and contact info?
Two reasons: first, we need that information to process your credit card for site membership. Second, we need to ensure that members who submit videos and stories are the original creators of these works. To do so, we need a real name and address.
We will not under any circumstances voluntarily give out your information to a third party.
Why should I upgrade to a premium membership?
While free members can watch three free films and send one filmcard, premium members can watch our entire collection of heartwarming, original films and send as many filmcards as they like.
How do I renew my premium membership?
We will automatically renew your premium membership at the end of your subscription term using your registered credit card unless you notify us prior to the end of your subscription term that you wish to cancel. To prevent your Premium membership from automatically renewing, visit your Account page, uncheck the box that says "Renew my Membership Automatically," and click "Save Changes."
What is a SpiritClips Gift membership?
A Gift membership is a year's subscription to the SpiritClips website. Your recipient will enjoy the full benefits of year-long Premium membership, and you will feel good for sharing it. To give a Gift membership, click here.
What's a SpiritClips affiliate, and how do I become one?
We started our affiliates program to share the inspiration of SpiritClips while giving back to our members and their communities. We'll give you a unique affiliate code, and when someone visits spiritclips.com and signs up for a premium membership with your code, your affiliate account gets credited: $10 for a one-year membership, $5 for a six-month membership.
To become an affiliate, login or join as a free or premium member, then visit our Affiliates Page and click "Yes! I want to be a SpiritClips Affiliate." Then follow these step-by-step instructions.
1. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
2. Specify who will receive the commission when a customer makes a purchase using your affiliate code. The commission can go to you or to your preferred charity or non-profit organization, or you can give the person who signs up a reduced price on his or her membership.
3. Once you click "save," you will receive a unique affiliate code and link. You can send the link to your friends or place it on your website.
4. Additionally, you can place one of our colorful SpiritClips banners on your website. They are located in the "Banner" section.
5. You can track the number of visitors who use your code and the commission you have earned in the "Affiliate Program" section of your account.
How do I change my payment information?
Once you are logged in to your membership, you may update your payment information by clicking the "My Account" link on your Member Profile page. You will then be able to update the billing address and the payment method that will be used to renew your membership. When finished, click the "Save Changes" button.
Can I see my purchase history?
To view your purchases, go to "Purchases" in your account. This will allow you to see an itemized list of your SpiritClips.com purchase history with purchase date, invoice number, price, and product type.
How do I cancel my membership?
We would hate to see you cancel your membership and would miss your contributions to the SpiritClips community. However, if you wish to cancel before the end of your subscription term, please visit your Account page, uncheck the "Renew my Membership Automatically" box, and click "Save Changes." At the end of your subscription term, your account will be reverted to a free membership.
If you have any questions, please use the Contact Us form, select "Billing Inquiry" from the drop-down menu, and submit your request with the name, email address, and Member Name you used when registering. Unfortunately, we cannot refund any unused portion of your Premium subscription due to early cancellation.
