The Star of Bethlehem
Legendary German animator Charlotte "Lotte" Reiniger began producing cutting edge animated films in 1918. Her "Silhouette" style was made world famous by a segment she made for Fritz Lang's Die Nibelungen and her film The Adventures of Prince Achmed, completed in 1926 is the oldest surviving animated film.
