To:jstan and others, where were the jobs FDR created going to come from? Banks and businesses failed in the thousands, they weren't going to hire anyone. The roads, Hoover Dam, the bridges are a living testament that what FDR did at that time worked. I do not consider myself a socialist, but he did and the nation and its people did what was necessary at the time.
