The Magic of Ordinary Days
Livy Dunne has been thrown out of her home by her father, Rev. Dunne, because she is pregnant and unmarried. She is banished to rural Colorado to go through with an arranged marriage to a lonely farmer. When she arrives in the tiny town, Livy and her betrothed meet for the first time.
Despite his inherent goodness and wisdom, worldly Livy is bored by small-town Ray and the hardscrabble life he leads. As the months pass, Livy slowly learns to appreciate the farmer and his calm, practical, self-effacing manner and almost imperceptibly, she realizes she may have found herself a home.
